Five-nothing in Game 5, for the Red Wings, only one win away from the 2008-2009 Stanley Cup Champion now.
Pavel Datsyuk's triumphant return obviously sparks his teammates.
So, the question is, could the Wings end this season in Mellon Arena, Pittsburgh and take the Cup home afterwards?
Or the Penguins will force a Game 7?
Wait and see Game 6. (8pm, June 9, @ PIT )

CBC, From: http://www.ustream.tv/recorded/1597802 June 02 Evgeni Malkin:WANNA DANCE?![]() ![]() ![]() Rule 47.22 in the NHL Rulebook states:
"A player or goalkeeper who is deemed to be the instigator of an altercation in the final five minutes of regulation time or at any time in overtime, shall automatically be suspended for one game." During Game two of the Stanley Cup finals on Sunday, the Detroit Red Wings beat the Pittsburgh Penguins 3-1 to take a two-games-to-none lead in the series. However, there is a bigger story going on about that game as with 19 seconds left in the game, Penguins star Evgeni Malkin elbowed Red Wings star Hendrik Zetterberg after the whistle was blown, which caused a fight between the two players. For what happened, Malkin got an instigator penalty and because he did this with less than five minutes remaining in the game, he is supposed to get an automatic one game suspension. But that's not the case here."Protect the poster baby!" This is THE RULE. The NHL made a mockery of its rulebook when it gave a pass to brawl instigator Evgeni Malkin. May 24 [Calgary Flames]"Iron Keenan" Fired, What's Next?![]()
CALGARY, Alberta -- Mike Keenan was fired as coach of the Calgary Flames on Friday, almost a month after his team lost in the first round of the playoffs for the second straight year. Keenan spent just two seasons with Calgary, and general manager Darryl Sutter said expectations were not met. "Taking into consideration all factors affecting our season-ending result, we believe this is a necessary change required to allow our team to continue toward our objective of winning the Stanley Cup," Sutter said.
The Flames finished the regular season with 46 wins and 98 points, but they were ousted in the first round in six games by the Chicago Blackhawks. Keenan, who had one year remaining on his contract, said following the playoff loss to Chicago that he believed he would be back to finish his deal. "I have another year left on my contract," Keenan said. "My expectation is to be here to fulfill my contract." Keenan was hired as the Flames coach in June 2007, replacing Jim Playfair. He leaves Calgary with an 88-60-16 regular-season record. His 672 victories rank fourth on the career coaching list. Keenan has coached eight of the 30 teams in the league. He has also led Philadelphia, Chicago, the New York Rangers, St. Louis, Vancouver, Boston and Florida. He won the Stanley Cup in 1994 with the Rangers.
